What have I been up to?

Well, since I started vaping a couple of years ago, it has pretty much consumed my life. Much like blogging did and html coding did before that. I am not a well rounded human being, I am slightly OCD about things.

I started a vaping blog and pretty much neglected this one. I am starting to even out, but I thought I would reveal my obsession in its entirety now.

You know me...I am a gadget freak and since I got that first electronic cigarette, it has been all down hill from there. These are some straight up electronic cigarettes but some are what is known as a mod. Those are definitely the most interesting. My favourite by far is the Little Steamy a steampunk mod, pictured below.

This is by no means everything I have owned in the last two and a half years, it is just what I possess as of today. Some have been traded, some have been given away. When a device sits for too long and begins to collect dust, its days are numbered.

I guess you could call me a collector. I prefer Mod Whore. I am still looking for a 12 step program.

55 Days and not counting.

I have been vaping now for 55 days and I have to say I am loving it.

I have not picked up a cigarette since, nor do I want to. There is no withdrawal because I am still getting the one thing that was addicting me to tobacco in the first place and that is nicotine.

I am loving my 510 and have since bought more batteries so I have it in 4 colors now.

I have even gone off the tobacco flavors and now vape pretty much only coffee and Dr. Pepper. I loved that one so much that I squeezed the life out of the bottle to get the last drop. More is on the way thank god.

Now I am thinking ahead. With all the talk about e-juice having issues at customs, I figured I would stalk up. You just know the tobacco lobby is going to be all over this shit once it catches on. After all, this could potentially cripple the industry if everyone who currently smokes switches to e-cigs. And since the tobacco tax is justified by claims that the proceeds go to cover the costs of illnesses attributed to tobacco smoke use, well....the government will be hard pressed to get the same amount of tax applied to e-cigs if and when they start to regulate them.

So, I have begun my stockpile with some DIY stuff. High concentrate nicotine, glycerin and flavorings, so I can make my own. Right now....I would say I have enough supplies either in my possession or on order to last me a couple years.

It's a sickness. I have got to stop ordering.

I don't know why I am worrying. After all, if a 10 year old can get crack at school, I should be able to get a supply of nicotine juice just as easily.

Here's hoping.

It's getting old.

Sure, its funny to hear about but when you live with it, it gets old really fast.

The Boy is stomping all over my last nerve with this car.

-He goes out every single day and vacuums it. Every day.

-We don't have a hose so he takes two buckets outside with him. One with soapy water and the other with clear water and washes it. Oh, and a t-shirt... to dry it. (No, it is not a Porsche or a Ferrari.)

-He doesn't like the condition of the driveway (mud puddles, rutts etc.) so he parks it on the lawn. He has no idea why that would upset me. Aside from the fact it kills the grass, it is just so Trailor Park Boys.

Now he wants me to take it to the garage because one of the tires has the writing facing in instead of out like the other three. I kid you not.

Maybe he is afraid someone will start humming the 'one of these things' song when he drives up. That would be humiliating.

How bored do you have to be?

You have to be very rich and very bored to throw money at something this retarded. This thing isn't as classy as it looks. It is basically a table hoisted up by a huge crane. I kid you not.

And just how much? Dinner in the Sky (table + crane + logistic & security staff) for 22 people is a mere 7.900,00 €. (roughly 11 and a half grand Canadian) This gives you 8 hours to hang around like assholes, but does not include food. The piano player hanging below you like an idiot is extra as well.

This begs the question. What about bathroom breaks? Ever hear the expression, 'they saw you coming'?

I swear to God, money is wasted on the rich.

I'm up! I'm up!

It's 3am and yes, I am up. The alarm was set for 5am but I can never sleep when I am starting something new. I have too much on my mind. I am traveling with a couple of guys (not my car) and The Boy will be driving himself to school.

Is there gas in the car? Does The Boy know how to pump gas? I never thought to show him. The tires are low, does he know how to put air in them or even how much? When was the last time I checked the oil?

Fuck it! I get up and take the car to the garage, make sure it has gas, check the oil and put air in the tires. Might as well grab a coffee on my way back.

Get in the shower, dry my hair. It is now 4:48am and I am ready for the day.

Nothing to do now but surf the net and goof off. Or I could call the sister....you know, pay her back for all the times she called me before noon. Something to consider.

Not enough hours in the day.

I haven't blogged all week and I am not sure why. The Boy has been working with his father and we have been ships passing in the night. So I can't blame it on the Boy this time. The house looks like a cyclone hit it, so I can't say I was busy with housework.

Ok, I confess. Holy shit is this an intervention? Where is the camera crew?

"Hi, my name is Evel and I am addicted to Big Brother." There, I said it, are you happy now?

I don't really watch the show, since I already know what happens. I do download it to skip though for the America's Player thing but mostly I just read the live updates (holy shit, people watch the live feeds 24/7 and transcribe it word-for-word) or watch video highlights from the live feeds.

If you only caught an episode here and there on the actual CBS show, you have no idea what it is all about. By this time in the 'game' the back stabbing starts. This year you can thank the presence of Evil Dick (so far all I can figure out is that he is a actor/rock groupie), an absolute social retard, for all the mayhem. His MySpace shows him dressed up as a pedophile priest and a bloody tampon for Halloween. 'Nuff said.

With Dick around, it is fight fight fight, pretty much all the time now. He started just picking on one girl, now it is everyone. He is crude and rude, the others would say nothing in the girls defense, because they were scared he would turn it on them. However, they have had enough and are starting to fight back which is making it interesting.

He had an evil plan to back-door someone that failed miserably, so he has been ranting like a lunatic for the past few days.

It's fun to watch people lose their minds. I am addicted.

Don't worry, someone will piss me off soon, and I will start posting more often

Gaming Snobs.

Ubergeek,(aka the Grog-meister) who incidentally does not comment, (too cool, I guess) messaged me today. Apparently he is reading the blog, not commenting as usual.

"Was "W.O.W. people" supposed to refer to World of Warcraft ? Listen to the lyrics of the song. it's about console gaming."

I suspect at this point he is trying to tell me there is a difference. Not being a gamer, I assume that gaming is gaming. My point being that a gamer would find this funny and totally be able to relate to it. "LOL so you get it?"

"I was wondering why you had it posted relating to wow"

"You're about to tell me there is a difference and it is making it soooo much funnier."

"Console gamers are the ones who are too lazy or stupid to work a computer game."

Holy Crap, can you just imagine him delivering that statement whilst glancing down the bridge of his nose? Fuck! Put a British accent to it, way funnier.

Anyway. That got me thinking, are all 'computer gamers' infected by this superiority complex? I mean. Hand eye coordination versus (I don't know) whatever puzzle solving skills are involved in computer games? And honestly, most video games can be played on the computer and vise versa. So why be offended if I don't make the distinction?

Who would actually win in a sword fight? Console or computer gamer?

Guitar Number Four.

The Boy worked a couple of days for his father and has put his 'hard earned' money on a new guitar.

This will bring the guitar count to four but this will be the first acoustic/electric. He has never taken a lesson before, he always just taught himself. But now he wants to learn classical guitar, thus the acoustic.

Prepare yourself to be awed and amazed. Here she is!

The Cort SFX1F NS has a Solid Sikta Spruce Top, Venetian Cutaway, Mahogany Arch Back, Dovetail Neck Joint, Mahogany Sides, Rosewood Fingerboard, Satin Finish, Fishman Classic 4 Electronics

I share this description with you because I must commit it to memory and be suitable impressed and awed when he shows me the picture over and over and over and over. If I can not pull off the 'holy fuck that is the nicest guitar I have ever seen' then he will torture me with more pictures. More detailed pictures. Explain to me why I must be in complete awe of this guitar.

He only put it on lay-away today. This means unending torture for me until he gets it out of lay-away. He will talk about it, show me pictures and talk about it some more. He will try and figure out ways to get it sooner. He will plot and scheme. This will be the only discussion going on in my home until the stupid fucking guitar is in his possession.

And all the while there will be this underlying theme that it is somehow all my fault that he does not have it right now. He will blame me, for what? I don't know. Not sleeping with a richer guy? But he will not ask his father for one more red cent. It is not how The Boy works.

He will hound me, the one who lives paycheck to paycheck. The guy with 3 houses and as many cars, who owns his own business (building bridges for fuck sakes) gets off scott free, he would never dream of bothering TBF for some extra cash.

That is just not done.

Measure twice, cut once.

My friend Bunnie and I are both uneasy when it comes to going to the dentist. I was prescribed Adavan because I think my dentist was afraid I might bite him or something. This is nothing compared to Bunnie. I won't get into the particulars but yesterday, during her appointment, they had to take her blood pressure three times.

I was not even aware that they knew how to take blood pressure. Probably something they picked up after taking her on as a patient.

Anyway, Bunnie pretty much works herself up all week anticipating this appointment. After the appointment she is frozen up the ying-yang and 'starved to death' (her words) so she heads over to the Dairy Queen. She has a coupon for an Ultimate Burger. Buy one, get one free. Remember, she is frozen on one side of her face. But she believes she can get 'er done.

She pulls up in front of the DQ. Our DQ is bascially all windows in the front. The place is full and every seat has a view. So, Bunnie is sitting out front, parked with her front bumper up against the glass, coupon in hand.

She is about to get out of the car and get her Ultimate Burger when she stops. She has a problem. She is frozen, her lips are frozen, her jaw is frozen. This may cause a problem.

What to do? She wants the Ultimate Burger, but she is not sure she can manage to get her mouth open enough to accomplish the actual eating of said burger. And you don't want to waste money on a burger you can't manage to get into your pie hole, right? Just like you wouldn't buy a sofa that you couldn't fit through your front door.

But Bunnie has a solution. She looks up at the picture of the Ultimate Burger plastered on the window in front of her, fashions her hands in the form that they would take if she indeed had the burger in them and raises it to her mouth.

Now for the truly attractive part of the process. She opens her mouth as if to bite into that imaginary burger. This is when she she realizes that even taking into account the inevitable squishage of the burger, it just won't be possible to get the ultimate today. No matter how hard she tries (and she tries) her mouth will just not open that wide on its own.

With the experiment over, she gets out of the car and goes in and orders a single burger to take home. It was on the drive home that she realizes why everyone in the restaurant was smiling at her.

Crazy people make everyone smile.

And...action!

I was checking out Radmila's Sunday Click Around and found this little gem, very cute. I know I shouldn't have clicked it. After all Rad did cause me to spend all of last Sunday watching Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts on YouTube.

This of course sent me on a quest to find this video from way back. This one makes me laugh out loud.

Once I found that, I had to add this favorite.

Harmless fun you say? Not by a long shot. I could be doing ground-breaking research, finding a solution for world hunger or putting my skills to work curing cancer. But what am I doing?

Searching for the original Dancing Baby video from Ally McBeal. That's what.

Thanks Rad. I'm telling your Mom you're a bad influence.
